Description
Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) is produced in the pituitary gland and is released into the blood in increased amounts when peripheral thyroid hormones are deficient. It stimulates the release of thyroxine (fT4) and triiodothyronine (fT3) and thus significantly controls thyroid function and stimulates thyroid growth.
